OCD Symptoms: People Suffer From Anxiety and Worry – Synonmous With One Another

One of the OCD symptoms people with this illness have is anxiety. Since sufferers have anxiety, it is likely they battle the symptom of worry. However, in Philippians it states, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 King James Version) I love this scripture because it gives people suffering with OCD – an education on how to overcome anxiety and worry. I hope we receive peace and comfort.

Refrane from Worry

Next, there exists a New Testament verse telling individuals to refrane from worry concerning everyday life. In Matthew it tells us:
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (Matthew 6:25-27 KJV)

Come Unto Jesus

Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire.

Other scriptures give us much comforting biblical guidance for OCD stating:
28 ¶Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30 KJV)

OCD Symptoms: Anxiety and Worry are nearly synonymous with some symptoms. They can trigger painful tension headaches and panic and anxiety attacks.
